Description for Courses:
Courses at Bloomsbridge consists of 3 levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advance. Learners can complete the whole 3 year course or join in between at any level, it depends on their age and command of English.
Each level has graded methods and exercises, and comprises of one year training programme in English Creative Skills. We have 2 sessions each of one hour a week, 8 hours a month.
SPOKEN ENGLISH:
Our curriculum is framed with a variety of exercises and actionable steps to meet smaller goals, which lead to the biggest goal of speaking fluently in English. Methods to improve articulation of voice, intonation, pronunciation, and style of speaking with confidence is met, through frequent, repeated practice at graded levels.
VOCABULARY PRACTICE:
The learners expand their vocabulary, learning new phrases, words, idioms, and collocations during the course of the programme. They are encouraged to use it in Spoken and Written Exercises, which improves their command of English Skills.
CREATIVE WRITING:
At Bloomsbridge, the learners think and imagine, meet challenges, explore and learn to clearly convey their ideas in writing; whilst improving the grammar and structural pattern of the language. At the advance level, the learner learns various techniques to improve his style of writing to not only engage the reader but also affect the reader’s emotions. Here the learner at the Senior Level becomes an artist, and writing is his tool. The learners learn methods and techniques to write essays, articles, poems and short stories with graded exercises at each level.
PUBLIC SPEAKING:
The learners learn to write their own speech and deliver it with confidence and composure. They use techniques taught, to make an impact through voice modulations, good content, impressive body language and presentation skills.
READING:
Reading Materials are provided online for Reading Comprehension and Reading Practice. We also have an Extensive Reading Programme, where learners are encouraged to read a book every month, so that they develop the habit of reading books. Book Reviews are done periodically and suggestions of good books to read are given to our learners. At the end of the course, the learners would have read a considerable number of books; they are also taught the way to read a book.
GRAMMAR:
Grammar lessons from the fundamental to advanced lessons are taught through each level of the Programme. Here, Grammar is taught infusing fun and Creative Writing Techniques, hence learners do not forget the rules and usage along the way.
